El jurado valoró su opción por un ámbito interior referido al edificio torreón, reinterpretando contemporáneamente los tamaños y herencias de una ciudad de escala doméstica. Destaca su plaza de actos con simpleza y envergadura adecuada, que resuelve el destino cívico del conjunto con respecto a la ciudad y al parque propuesto. Valoriza el edificio histórico integrado a una arquitectura elegante, que con intencionada rusticidad material logra un edificio discreto y simple. Durante el desarrollo del proyecto deberá mejorar su excesiva hermeticidad en relación con la calle Fernández Concha. The jury appreciated the interior focus regarding the turret building, reinterpreting in a contemporary manner the dimensions and heritage of a domestic city scale. The ceremonial square stands out for its simplicity and proper scale, which resolves the civic purpose of the whole with respect to the city and the proposed park. It enhances the historical building integrating it into an elegant architecture that achieves a discreet and simple building with a deliberate material rusticity. During the development of the project it must improve its excessive closure with regards to Fernández Concha Street.
