1960s 1 | The ladies of Alpha Xi Delta (AZD) gathered in August for a reunion. This trip consisted of a two day stay at a local bed and breakfast, a tour of Arrow Rock, a Missouri Valley Alumni Social, Nicholas-Beazley Aviation Museum and a tour of Missouri Valley College led by the External Relations Team. The ladies remincied of times gone by and how much the campus has changed. 2 | MVC Alumni had a great meal and visit in Overland Park, KS. L to R: Grover Redford (student ‘66 - ‘68), Cathie Jeffries (‘71), Nelda Shouse Tomlinson (‘71), David Tomlinson (‘69), Marcia Bowles Brown (‘69) and Ron C Brown (‘69). 1970s 3 | David Power ‘74 Retires after 45 years of teaching at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, IL. During his career, he spent 29 years coaching girls basketball, in fact, he was the only girls basketball coach in their school history. He won more than 1,000 games and three state championships. 1980s 4 | Alpha Xi Delta (AZD) sisters from the mid 80’s got together in Destin, Florida in January of 2022. Pictured are: Barbi Hartley Helms (‘88), Carrie Garvey Lawson, Nikki Saale Hart (‘89), Karen Green Bernsen, Tracie Hall Lewis (‘87), and Kelly Call Eaton (‘87). 5 | Laurie Rabe ('80) hosted Alpha Xi Delta sisters Tamra (Beyer) Dagnon ('82) and Becky Leib ('81) at her cabin on Diamond Lake in Wisconsin in July. Other Fuzzies are welcome to join in 2023! Pictured from left to right: Becky, Laurie, and Tamra. 1990s 6 | Larry Godsey ‘91 As of June 1, 2022 Larry will be taking the role as Missouri Command Senior Enlisted Leader with the Missouri National Guard. 7 | Shawn Terryberry ‘94 Carrollton R-7 Community Teachers Association awarded Shawn Terryberry the 2022 Teacher of the Year Award. 8 | Heather (Nickerson) Sappington ‘96 received the 2022 MVC Scholar Award for her accomplishments in the Master of Arts in Educational Administration. 9 | Carrie (Harmon) Moore ‘99 served as the 2022 commencement speaker at Missouri Valley College.

2000s 10 | Tiffany (Marshall) Dowell - ‘02 served as a speaker at the 14th Annual Maastricht Institute on the Missouri Valley Campus. Tiffany is a licensed real estate agent and owns her own business, Simply Realty in Marshall, MO. 11 | John Boswell - ‘06 Named head boys basketball coach at Morrill High School, Morrill, NE. 12 | Jayson Thornton CFP ‘06 served as a speaker at the 14th Annual Maastricht Institute on the Missouri Valley Campus. Jayson owns his own business, Thornton Advisor Group in St. Louis, MO. 13 | Kirby Kueker-Rugen ‘08 Marshall Public Schools - Southeast Educator of the Year 2021-2022. 14 | Dom Giangrosso - ‘10 On March 25, 2022 Dom was named new assistant principal of Grain Valley High School, Grain Valley, MO beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. 15 | Gabriela Morales ‘14 As of June 2022, was named Director of the Student Success Center. 16 | Zavon Moore ‘16 and Kenzie (Fredrickson) Moore were married on May 13, 2021. They also welcomed a little girl, Eliza Moore, to the world on June 3, 2022. 17 | Mohamed Diyani ‘17 As of May 2022, was named the Director, Mergers and Acquisitions at Harris Computer, a software development company in Ottawa, Ontario. 18 | Kimberley Ndlovu ‘19 is a PhD Student at the Ohio State University studying Microbiology. She is from Zimbabwe and currently based in the United States. Kimberley was recently featured (May 31, 2022) on The Root of The Science Podcasts. In this episode she shares her journey to science that includes living in four countries. She discusses her current research projects, the main one involving phage therapy. Kimberley shares in detail the importance of this work. 19 | Shane Clary ‘20 and Kayleigh (Barnes) Clary ‘2019 were united in marriage on May 14, 2022. 20 | Megan Ferguson ‘22 as of March 2022, was Appointed President of The Missouri Nursing Students’ Association. 21 | Maddie Vogelsmeier ‘22 A 2022 graduate of Missouri Valley College with a degree in Marketing and Graphic Design was recently hired by Central Methodist University as Webmaster. 22 | Four Valley Alumni are teachers and head coaches at Lawson High School. Kelsey Boswell (‘01) teaches Social Studies and is the varsity boys track coach. Becky Harrold (‘00) teaches Social Studies and is the varsity volleyball coach. Caleb Crawford (‘03) teaches Social Studies and is varsity Football coach. Tyler Crow (‘20) teaches Health/PE and is the varsity wrestling coach for both boys and girls.
