Louella brings expertise in public policy and risk management. She held leadership positions in the public and not for profit sectors.
In addition to being a member of the board, Louella also serves as Chair of the Risk Committee. Representing Options Community Services she is the Co - Chair on the Board Voice Society of BC, and a member of the Social Services Sector Round Table of BC. Her past board roles have included the Vice President of the Goan Overseas Association Vancouver, British Columbia, and Member, Policy Steering Committee of Volunteer Organizations Consortium of British Columbia. In Ontario, Louella was appointed by Order - in Council to Regional Grant Review Team, Ontario Trillium Foundation, and served as Chair, Shelters Panel, United Way of Greater Toronto and Chair, South Asian Women ’ s Group, Toronto Louella holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP), a BA (Hons) in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, and Certificates in Canadian Risk Management (CRM) and Board Governance. She has presented widely at public, not for profit and post - secondary sector conferences, and published works on a wide range of topics including food security, corporate social responsibility, and policy interventions to promote tourism in the wine industry.
