Jasmeet Mangat is a Lawyer and Managing Partner at YLaw LLP, a leading family law firm in British Columbia. She has built her career advocating for families through some of the most complex and
high-conflict legal matters, including parenting disputes, family violence cases, and financial settlements. Jasmeet leads a diverse team of lawyers and support staff, mentoring young professionals and shaping the firm ’ s growth across the Lower Mainland, including the Fraser Valley. Raised in a small town in Northern BC as a first-generation Canadian, Jasmeet has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by immigrants, minorities, and communities with limited access to legal resources. These early experiences inspired her commitment to bridging service gaps, particularly for vulnerable populations navigating the legal system.
Other Activities and Community Involvement
Jasmeet serves on the Board of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, is an active member of the Langley Chamber of Commerce and participates in mentorship and public legal education initiatives. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys playing volleyball on Sundays through Surrey Urban Rec, running, and spending time with her family and her dog, Gizmo.
