During this critical period, the commit- tee will take all possible actions to limit the amount of flooding and will continuously monitor conditions at all points along the river. Bulletins will be issued if the situation changes. Residents can dial 1-800-778-1246 to re- ceive an English message and 1-800-778- 1243 for a message in French. This informa- tion is also available at ww.ottawariver.ca. Information is given for levels at Lake Timiskaming, Mattawa, Pembroke, Lake Coulonge, Chats Lake, Ottawa (Britannia wharf ), Gatineau (Hull wharf ), Grenville and Maniwaki. The board web site has been redesigned and provides extensive information such as a three-day forecast and information on water levels and discharges for major reser- voirs in the system.
GRENVILLE | So far this spring, flooding has not become a serious problem for people living beside the Ottawa River in this district. However, everyone is advised to keep an eye on levels as the thaw continues. Gauges at Grenville show that the level rose from 41.44 metres to 41.54 metres be- tween April 15 and 21. The flow at the Carillon Dam increased from 3,450 cubic metres per second April 15 to 4,809 metres per second April 21. The information is compiled by the Ot- tawa River Regulating Committee, which relates that the major storage reservoirs in the watershed are containing the major- ity of the increased runoff in the north but
