Hospitality Review December 2018

ARTICLE CHRIS SYMONS - [THAT] FOUNDATION

A nother successful year

It has been another very successful year for the Tasmanian Hospitality Association with $25,000 donated to children in need. This has taken our overall contribution to $95,000 which is making a significant impact on the families involved. These donations are not possible without the amazing support we get from the Hospitality Industry and our amazing corporate partners. We look forward to working with everyone again in 2019 as we break through the $100k mark. Donations Frej is 2 years old and has a long history of developmental delay of unknown origin, although his paediatrician is currently considering diagnosis of either Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or hypermobility syndrome. Frej only started walking at 20 months and remains extremely weak and unstable. Frej is hyper flexible and received two compression garments which will provide him with extra control so he can build his muscles and get more strength. Shelby is 2 years old and suffers from severe systemic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. THAT Foundation was able to work with St Giles to provide a compression garment to give Shelby the support her muscles are unable to.
