Grundlagen einer inklusiven Sprachanimation Fundamental principles of inclusive Language Animation
D ie Herausforderung einer inklusiven Sprachanimati- on liegt darin, einerseits die Potenziale und Effekte der bestehenden Ansätze zu identifizieren, um ihre Stär- ken und besonderen Anpassungen an das jeweilige Feld beizubehalten und andererseits ihre blinden Flecken und Unzulänglichkeiten zu identifizieren und zu überwinden. Oder: Wie groß ist überhaupt unser Bewusstsein dafür, wen unsere liebsten Methoden ausschließen? Für die Anwender/-innen der Methoden, gilt es, die Perspektive zu wechseln: vom „wie man die Methode benutzt“ zum „Verstehen, wie sie funktioniert“.
I nclusive Language Animation is challenging in that it means having to identify the potential and the impacts of existing approaches so their strengths and adaptability to the situation at hand can be preserved. A second chal- lenge is to identify its blind spots and any deficits, and to overcome these. In other words, how aware are we of the groups that remain excluded from our preferred meth- ods? To answer that question, the users of the methods need to switch perspective: rather than thinking about how to apply the method, they need to understand how it works.

Findet man in einer Methodensammlung eine Art Be- dienungsanleitung vor, die auf einer Grundsituation auf- baut, so müssen in der Regel ohnehin viele Parameter in Abhängigkeit der tatsächlichen Rahmenbedingungen verändert werden: Passt die Gruppengröße? Reichen die vorhandenen Hilfsmittel aus? Müssen zusätzliche Elemente eingesetzt werden, wie etwa Musik, Raumge- staltung, eine zum Kontext passende Einleitung und so weiter?
Many collections of methods come with a set of instruc- tions that assume a certain situation. In real life, however, many parameters have to be adjusted to reflect real life. Is the method applicable to a group of a certain size? Are the available props going to be enough? Will additional elements have to be used, such as music, equipment, an introduction to the context and so forth? When setting goals, providing instructions and later eval- uating the session, it helps to bear in mind that partici- pants have varying physical, intellectual and ethical capa- bilities that may not be immediately obvious or familiar
