Summer sidewalk sales tradition
Roll ‘em out!
Dozens of golf carts trundled off towards the greens at the Hammond Golf Course Saturday noon-hour as 111 golfers headed for the links to spend the afternoon playing their favourite game during the 37 th Annual Clarence Creek Lions Golf Tournament. The Aug. 22 event raised about $7,000, of which $,5000 will go towards the Paroisse de Ste-Félicité for its projects. The remainder will be part of the general fund the community service club uses to help support local charities and also its own community aid programs and projects.
It’s almost expected in summertime for kids to start up a lemonade stand. In Clarence Creek, LaraMeridian (left), KatharinaMeridian, andHannah Green decided to improve on the idea by offering not just lemonade but also more exotic mango and other fruit juices to their sidewalk customers.
