DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION PROGRAM (DVIP) DVIP delivers specialized therapeutic intervention services to perpetrators of domestic violence that promotes the safety of their children and partners. Services to perpetrators of domestic violence involve thorough assessments of risk and safety planning, with relapse prevention plans for the perpetrators. The program provides one-to-one therapeutic intervention, a 17-week therapeutic group, Caring Dads, focused on parenting without violence or coercion, a 15-week therapeutic group, Men Transforming Our Relationships (MenTOR). In addition, this program also offers a bi-weekly drop-in group for individuals on a waitlist and bi-weekly drop-in group for individuals who have graduated from the Caring Dads. Therapeutic groups are co-facilitated by male and female group facilitators/trained clinical counsellors.
