Mom-to-Mom sale bigger and better

Court Street in the village of L’Orignal as part of a community yard sale where they will be selling donated items and talking to people about the playground project. “This is a great opportunity for our community to come together and show its support for the project,” said Jackie Chenier, Sacha’s mother. “We understand that not everyone can afford to make a financial contribution to the park, so donating a few things that they are no longer using is another way of helping.” Sacha’s Park is a playground that is being proposed for the new Place La Seigneurie development in L’Orignal. The playground, once built, will be different than a typical playground in that it will be universally accessible allowing children of all abilities to fully enjoy the park and its equipment. The goal for Sacha’s Park is to create a playground that is inclusive and where the equipment works for everyone, including children with disabilities. A playground where everyone can play. Used items in good condition are appreciated; however, furniture, TVs, large appliances, and mattresses cannot be accepted. Drop-off or pick-up arrangements can be organized through Jackie Chenier at 613-676-0517, or at sachaspark@gmail.com. More information about Sacha’s Park can be found on the online fundraising page gofundme.com/EveryoneCanPlay.
