Stakeholder & Survey Insights
Strategic Insight: Mapping the Path Forward
The Travel Mandate: Overwhelming support for subsidised transport (78%) and data sharing (76%) allows us to integrate transport planning directly into the registration process, making it a core part of the participant journey. The “Optional Extra” Model: With 78% of runners open to treating T-shirts as a paid add-on (Yes/ Maybe), we have a clear mandate to transition toward a “purchase only” model to reduce waste and embodied carbon. Hydration Independence: Most participants (55%) are willing to carry their own hydration, suggesting “cup-less” or “refill-only” strategies are viable across the portfolio with proper signposting. The Engagement Opportunity: While “Yes” votes for volunteering and donations are lower, the large “Maybe” contingent (~50%) indicates a receptive audience that simply requires a more compelling call to action to move from passive support to active participation.
