CRITERIA

Affiliate membership is available to anyone who has an interest in payroll, pensions or reward. Individuals in this category typically only spend a fraction of their working time on matters related to payroll, pensions and reward or simply have a passion for this crucial profession. Associate membership is for individuals who can evidence at least one year’s current experience in payroll, pensions or reward. Associate membership also becomes automatically available to individuals who have successfully completed a level three or level four qualification in payroll, pensions or reward. Full membership is awarded to experienced payroll, pensions or reward professionals who can provide evidence of at least three year’s current experience plus two of the below: ● Qualified to level five in payroll, pensions or reward ● More than 50% of time spent on payroll, pensions and/or reward activities ● Have held a managerial position, or teach payroll, pensions and/or reward for the last three years. Full membership also becomes automatically available to individuals who have successfully completed a level five qualification in payroll, pensions or reward. Fellowship is awarded by a CIPP panel to individuals that successfully demonstrate a positive and valuable contribution to the CIPP and the payroll, pensions or reward profession, outside their normal professional duties. Fellowship also becomes automatically available to individuals who have successfully completed a level six or seven qualification in payroll, pensions or reward. Chartered membership is the highest level of CIPP membership; recognising an individual’s significant achievement and ongoing commitment to payroll, pensions or reward. Applicants will be able to effectively demonstrate significant strategic level contribution in their payroll, pensions or reward careers as well as technical knowledge and understanding to at least level five.
