Beautique Med Spa - November 2019

What’s on the Anti-Aging Horizon?

While we can’t predict the future, we have some hints of what’s to come in the beauty world next year. Topping the list for 2020 is personalized beauty, with companies utilizing advances in technology to tailor products down to the minor details. Made for You 3D-printed face masks are going to be a hot item for 2020, and they’re a nod toward the bigger trend of products that are completely customized for each individual. Capitalizing on the tools we already use, some customized products will be accessible through smartphone apps: Enter your skin type and other information, and you’ll get suggestions for which products are the best fit for you. Fit to a T Companies seem to be tapping into the overall health and wellness trend to inform their beauty lines, with some going as far as to do DNA analysis to determine what skincare ingredients will work best for your specific genes. Hopefully, this will mean a wider array of palettes and products that work better for the diverse skin types out there. A Look at the Game Changers

Light It Up Expect light therapy to gain momentum as a tool in the anti-aging arsenal. With various levels and forms that can be specified to address acne, pigmentation spots, wrinkles, and even inflammation, there’s

something for everyone. Into the Woods

Looking not just to nature for inspiration, but pulling from its bounty to create products that are kinder to skin and more sustainable is also something we can expect to see more of this year. As one Cosmetic Design article notes, “Biotech and biomimicry have been playing an increasingly dominant role in the industry of late, and the trend forecast suggests this is set to continue.” Expect to see some of these, as well as other new innovations, in the coming year. It’s an exciting time full of potential for anti-aging and beauty.
