Maize Siding & Eavestroughing : 25 years of success
In 2001, Paul Maisonneuve became the sole owner. Thanks to his perseverance and vision, Maize Siding & Eavestroughing grew into one of the biggest siding and eavestrou- ghing companies in Eastern Ontario. Today, the company hires 29 employees, including 20 installers and six sales representatives. Many employees have from 10 to 15 years of experience with the company.
The story of the company begins in September 1988 when Alain and Paul Mai- sonneuve decided to join forces and start their own company. The two brothers had gained experience with other companies in Ottawa, one in the installation of exterior siding and the other in eavestroughing. The siding was the main focus of the company at the beginning. Paul Maison- neuve added the eavestroughing side a few years later after buying the equipment from a cousin. The company growth boomed in 1997 when the owners decided to hire sales re- presentatives. More employees were hired to meet the work orders.
The second generation is already in place to continue the development. Alexis, the son of Paul, believes the values that drove his father since the beginning are the foundation of the success. “Family, friends and community are very important”, says Alexis. “My father always supported local organizations. Helping his family and friends is very important”.
Maize Siding & Eavestroughing reached an important milestone. The Saint-Pascal- Baylon company, which specializes in the sale and installation of exterior siding and eavestroughing, is celebrating its 25th an- niversary this year.
