The building’s construction methods and major recycling efforts contributed to the vast majority of the points needed to achieve such a certification. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification is award- ed through a points method judged by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) . “We’re extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished at the Capital Logistics Center, which has truly been trans- formed into one of the most modern industrial parks in the region,” said Eric Witmondt , CEO of Woodmont Industrial Partners. “The efficiency and sustainability of 200 Capital Lane will not only benefit the building’s tenants, but will also have a positive impact on the community at large.” The building’s key features include 36-foot clear height, a generous loading ratio, high- efficiency heating and ventila- tion systems, T5 lighting with motion sensors, ESFR sprin- klers, accessibility to public transportation and modern architectural designs. “200 Capital Lane’s LEED certification demonstrates tre- mendous green building lead- ership,” said Rick Fedrizzi , president, CEO & founding chair, U.S. Green Building Council. “The urgency of US- GBC’s mission has challenged the industry to move faster and reach further than ever before, and 200 Capital Lane serves as a prime example with just how much we can accomplish.” AEW acquired the property on behalf of AEW Partners VI, an opportunistic real estate fund.
