I would like to personally invite you to participate in a national signature Green Schools initiative known as Green Apple Day of Service. The Green Apple Day of Service, created by USGBC in Washington DC, gives parents, teachers, students, companies and local organizations the opportunity to have an impact on the transformation of all schools into healthy, safe and productive learning environments through local service projects. Green Apple Day is a unique opportunity for every school to benefit from local com unity, corporate and professional experts to kick-off a special sustainability project. This is timely as a 2016 Earth Day event for your organization to coordinate an activity with Green

SECRETARY Your participation in the National GreenApple Day of Service is an effective and meaningful way to demonstrate your corporation’s support for improving the quality of life and learning for our children through the creation of high performing, healthier and safer schools. Schools participating in Sustainable Jersey for Schools may qualify to earn points in that certification program, depending on the type of activity chosen. Green Apple Day activities can also be selected to align with the NJ Eco-Schools USA rating system as well. For more information on USGBC’s Green Apple Day of Service, visit www.mygreenapple.org. 2/19/16: LEED 201 Core Concepts & Strategies + Green Associate Exam Prep- Location TBA 2/23 & 24/16: GPRO Fundamentals + Construction Management Workshop- 9 am – 4:30 pm, Parsippany, NJ. Certificate exam is included. 6/27/16: USGBC NJ Annual Golf Outing- NJ National Golf Club, Basking Ridge, NJ.
