Coyotes boast four wins
and came in fourth in the province. They lost the first game 5-2 against the Stoney Creek Sabres, won the second game 5-4 against the Milverton Royals, won game three 7-1 against the Picton Legionettes, lost game four 3-0 against the Cambridge Roadrunners (with the Roadrunners scor- ing all three goals in the last six minutes), and lost game five 4-1 against Zora in the bronze medal game. This is the first time the Coyotes have had an intermediate team. “Our team had a tre- mendous amount of talented players,” says manager Taryn Chesser. “The way those players came together and each contrib- uted to our wins is what is most memorable to me.” The Peewee B, Bantam BB and Midget B will be playing in their division provincials in Ottawa April 4-7.

On Sunday, March 24 the Russell Cas- tor River Coyotes girls/women’s hockey club sent four teams to the Ottawa District Women’s Hockey Association champion- ship games in Kemptville and all four teams came home winners. The Novice House, Atom House, PeeWee B Division, and Midget House teams were all champions in their divisions. The Novice girls beat Brockville 4-1, the Atom girls beat Perth 5-1, the Midget girls beat Outaouais 3-2, and the PeeWee B girls beat Nepean 3-2. On March 23, the Intermediate BB team attended the provincial playoffs in Toronto
