Hayley & Ben Harding South Australia Belief – the Magic Ingredient of Success
Helping her people shift their mind-set to an ‘I will’ attitude, she explains that this is where she helps them turn the page to a new chapter of their life. “I don’t just paint the picture, rev them up then stand back on the sidelines to watch their plan unfold.” Hayley clarifies. “I’m not their coach shouting orders – I’m their teammate, their captain. I’m on court with them, running alongside them, doing the work at the same time and always staying connected. I don’t ask them to do anything that I’m not doing myself – I make sure that I am the hardest working person on the court no matter what. If they can see that I’m in it 100% with them, then they will follow me 100% - no matter what challenges they may face.” As always the proof is in the pudding and Hayley’s kitchen sure is heating up! Not only is she on the verge of a double advancement to Senior Director 4 in June, she is bringing a whole new legion of emerging Senior Directors along with her. “This is the part of the business that I absolutely love – helping people get their Melaleuca career started!” Said Hayley. Her success in developing brand new Directors 3 (5 in the last 12 months and counting) brings us to the next most frequently asked question – how does she find great people? “It’s not about finding the perfect person – it’s about developing them.” Explains Hayley. A prime example of someone who received the authentic Hayley Harding treatment is newly advancing Pacesetter Director 5 Ashleigh Ciampa. “When I enrolled Ashleigh, I took the time to get to know her. I knew straight off the bat that she didn’t 100% believe that this kind of income was possible and that’s Okay! Because I was absolutely certain that I could make this work for her. So I made a commitment to her – I spent every possible hour with her, doing phone calls, appointments, goal setting – all alongside her. I made sure that she knew that success – in her case a goal of Senior Director - wasn’t just a possibility, it was a certainty.” One such certainty holds true – Hayley Harding is on the path to Executive Director THIS year. And so many more families will be all the more fortunate because of her.
What is the one magic ingredient that transforms normal everyday people into Senior Directors? Newly advancing Senior Director 2 Hayley Harding is often asked this. As the Leadership in Action sits down in her beautiful country-stead home in regional South Australia, she explains. “The answer is not what some people might think – there’s no magical approach. No special type of ready-made leader I’m targeting. At the end of the day my success, and the success of my team comes down to belief. It is the catalyst that makes all the parts of Melaleuca work. If I can help people believe that Melaleuca can and will work for them, they’re more likely to roll up their sleeves and get to work!” Said Hayley. Perhaps easier said than done, the Leadership in Action encourages Hayley to dig a little deeper to reveal how she gets people dreaming, and ultimately, working. “I make a real effort to get to know people – to connect on a deeper level. I help them understand where they are at and where they’re heading – only then can I help them see how Melaleuca can completely re-write their family’s story.”
