Hola Sober SEPTEMBER

million different things (Z). This is not something that can be learned in your subconscious, and you will always need to have a conversation with yourself to decide what to do. In reality, what you’re trying to do is some sort of knife-catching moderation. It will never be successful because it requires too much thought and is too variable and therefore it can never pass into your subconscious. It’s the same with alcohol moderation. If you are trying to moderate drinking, you will always need to have a conversation with yourself about what to do. When do you drink, how much, how often etc. Your Y is always different, your Z is always different and it is a mess in your brain. You can never be happy with this system: constantly debating and obsessing about when to drink and when not to drink. The solution is retrain your brain. If I feel ____ / If it is _____ occasion (X) I don’t take a drink (Y) nothing happens (Z). There is no debate, there is no thought process: your automatic response will always be no alcohol. This passes into your subconscious and leaves you free to think about anything you damn well please and enjoy your life. Don’t try to moderate alcohol just like you wouldn’t try to moderate catching knives.

Retrain your brain. Stop alcohol. Catch nothing
