Od svog osnivanja Festival je prikazao preko 500 koreografskih radova, a svake godine predstave u proseku prati oko 20.000 gledalaca
The BDF has presented over 500 choreographic works since its inception, while its performances are watched by an annual average total of around 20,000 spectators
A total of 19 dance companies from 14 countries, with over 30 new choreograph- ic works, will present themselves in Bel- grade and Novi Sad from 7 th March to 10 th April, as part of the latest edition of the BDF, under the slogan “Impeccable Differences”. Top artists and great dance troupes will gather in honour of dance, address important topics that analyse current events and contemporary society, creating moments that trigger the most beautiful emotions. It is thanks to this festival that Belgrade has become an important port of call in the biographies of dance artists, a place where new productions are discovered, and where renowned and emerging authors are given equal attention. O d 7. marta do 10. aprila ukupno 19 kompanija iz 14 zemalja, sa preko 30 koreografskih postavki, biće pred- stavljeno u Beogradu i Novom Sadu u okviru novog Beogradskog festiva- la pod sloganom „Savršene različitosti“. Igri u čast okupiće se vrhunski umetnici i sjajne trupe, biće otvorene važne teme koje analiziraju aktuelne po- jave i društvo, ali i kreirani trenuci koji pokreću najlepše emocije. Zahvaljujući ovom festivalu, Beograd je postao važna stanica u umetničkim biografijama, mesto gde se otkrivaju produkcije i sa jednakom pažnjom predstavljaju poznati i mladi autori. Aktuelnost pro- grama odredila je poziciju manifestacije na međuna- rodnoj mapi, dok visoki standardi i hrabro uvođenje novih koreografskih rukopisa i estetike unapređu- ju očekivanja i trendove. Aja Jung, baletska umetnica, koreograf, ali i umetnička direktorka Beogradskog festivala igre, kaže da je izbor predstava bio veoma složen posao. – Primenili smo taktiku laganog otkrivanja vr- toglavo zanimljivog programa. Koračamo napred, osluškujući svoju publiku i stroge inostrane sudi- je. Ne oslanjamo se na prošlost. Ne obaziremo se na dobacivanja iz ćoška. Festival pod rednim bro- jem 21 ima zadatak da nadmaši sve prethodne – kaže Aja Jung. I zaista, na Festival ove godine dolaze imena svetske klase. Ovo su samo neka od njih... Iz „Luvra“ u „Balkan“ Umetnik čije je instalacije u pariskom „Luvru“ videlo skoro sto hiljada posetilaca stiže u Beograd. Joan Buržoa donosi komad koji kritika opisuje kao „univerzum u mikrokosmosu“ pravo u bioskop „Bal- kan“. Famozne stepenice sa kojih igrači padaju i po- novo se vraćaju unele su novu magiju u muzejski prostor. Ista instalacija je bila deo postavke na otva- ranju „Luvra“ u Abu Dabiju. Buržoa nakon nekoliko godina pregovora stiže prvi put u Beograd! – Naši dogovori traju dugo, jer su instalacije ve- oma kompleksne i glomazne. According to Aja Jung, a ballet artist, choreogra- pher and artistic director of the Belgrade Dance Fes- tival, selecting the shows to be included in the festi- val is a fiendishly complex job. “We have applied the tactic of slowly revealing the dizzyingly interesting programme. We are striding for- ward, listening to our audience and strict internation- al judges. We aren’t resting on our laurels. We don’t pay attention to hecklers. This festival, numbering 21 in order of editions, has the task of outdoing all pre- vious editions,” says Jung. And world-class artists really are coming to this year’s BDF.
