NEW DESTINATION IN THE REGION

rous cities in Western and Northern Europe, as well the U.S. Mostar is among the most popular tourist destina- tions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its famous Old Bridge, representing a symbol of the city, has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005, alongside the Old City of Mostar itself. Built at the behest of Sultan Suleiman as far back as 1566, legend has it that the chief builder, Hajrudin, never saw the bridge completed because Suleiman had threa- tened to have him executed if the bridge collapsed, so he fled in time! Whether the tale is true or not, Hajrudin would certainly have been proud of his bridge. Not resembling any other, courageous individuals dive from it, which is al- so a kind of attraction during the summer months. Having already flown to Mostar, you shouldn’t mi- ss out on Kujundžiluk street and strolling its cobblestones that date back to the mid-16 th century. This winding road beside the river Neretva used to be home to 500 craft workshops, while it remains a very lively street to this day. Souvenir shops, Kazandžija coppersmiths and other craft shops, as well as exceptional antique shops, com- plete this most popular street in Mostar. However, this is only a fraction of everything that awaits you in this beautiful city. It was in Mostar that po- et Pero Zubac fell in love with a certain Svetlana one au- tumn, as described in a beautiful poem that forever snatched the rains of Mostar from oblivion, but you’ll so- mehow cope with them. And you’ll certainly fall in love with Mostar easily.

AIR SERBIA ANNOUNCES MOSTAR SERVICE

AIR SERBIA’S PLANNED FREQUENCY BETWEEN BEL- GRADE AND MOSTAR is three flights a week, on Mon- days, Fridays and Sundays, using its Embraer E175 air- craft. “At the end of 2023, Air Serbia responded to the Pu- blic Call for the establishment of scheduled flights for 2024 that had been announced by Mostar Airport and linked to the introduction of a direct service between Belgrade and Mostar. In the first days of January, the de- cision was made to accept our offer,” said Boško Rupić, Air Serbia General Manager - Commercial and Strategy. By introducing a direct service between Belgrade and Mostar, Air Serbia will expand its presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby contributing to the strengt- hening of economic, business, and all other links. The fli- ghts will connect the two cities, but will also enable good connections between Mostar, via Belgrade, and nume- Serbia’s airline, in partnership with Mostar Airport, is set to begin operating scheduled passenger flights between Belgrade and Mostar from April to October 2024

nih, ekonomskih i svih drugih veza. Ti letovi povezaće dva grada, ali i omogućiti dobru povezanost Mostara, preko Beograda, sa brojnim gradovima u zapadnoj i severnoj Evropi i Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Mostar spada među najpopularnije turističke de- stinacije u Bosni i Hercegovini. U Mostar ćete se, sasvim sigur- no, lako zaljubiti.
