Each institution has different priorities and policies that govern how its financial aid is distributed. The College Office will be glad to help you compare financial aid packages. For awards that involve federal aid programs, financial aid administrators must adhere closely to guidelines established by the government for determining eligibility and financial need. Very few schools have enough federal or private funds available to meet every applicant’s full need. Although you may have a legitimate and demonstrated need for aid, there may be other students who have even greater needs, and they may receive aid first.
