HOW TO INSTALL RAILING BRACKETS
NOTES: » FOR EASE OF INSTALLATION, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE THE TREX SIGNATURE RAIL TEMPLATES TO ATTACH BRACKETS TO SIGNATURE POSTS OR 4X4 POST SLEEVES (SOLD SEPARATELY). » DO NOT USE IMPACT DRIVER WHEN INSTALLING SIGNATURE RAILING, ONLY USE STANDARD DRILL FOR SCREW ATTACHMENT OF BRACKET TO POSTS AND RAILS. » SEE OTHER NOTES BELOW DEPENDING ON THE POST/POST SLEEVE THAT IS BEING INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLATION OF BRACKETS. IMAGES BELOW DO NOT REFLECT SPECIFIC POST/POST SLEEVE APPLICATION. » U SE A CLAMP TO HELP HOLD BRACKETS IN PLACE WHILE FASTENING WITH SCREWS.
HOW TO INSTALL HORIZONTAL FIXED BRACKETS

1. M easure 1-7/8" (4.8 cm) up from deck surface.* Mark with light line.
4A. If installing Signature Post, center upper
bracket on post above marked line and attach using three self-tapping screws (provided) .

4B. If installing 4x4 post sleeve or Aluminum post sleeve, center upper bracket on post above marked line and attach using three 2" (5.1 cm) wood screws (provided) . 4C. If installing 6x6 post sleeve, center upper bracket on post above marked line and attach using three 2-1/2" (6.4 cm) wood screws (not provided) . NOTES: • IMPORTANT – If installing a post sleeve with a one-piece skirt, ensure the skirt is installed BEFORE installing lower bracket. • *Optional measurement if installing Signature Post: Measure from top of base plate 1-3/8" (3.5 cm) as well as 34" (86.4 cm) for 36" (92 cm) rail height or 40" (101.6 cm) for 42" (107 cm) rail height. • Upper bracket is not required in Signature crossover post configuration.

2. M easure 34 1/2" (87.6
cm) for 36" (92 cm) rail height or 40 1/2" (102.8 cm) for 42" (107 cm) rail height up from decking surface.* Mark with light line.

3A. If installing Signature Post, center lower bracket on post above the marked line and attach using two self-tapping screws (provided) .
3B. If installing 4x4 post
sleeve or Aluminum post sleeve, center lower
bracket on post above the marked line and attach using two 2" (5.1 cm) wood screws (provided) .
3C. If installing 6x6 post sleeve, center lower bracket on post above the marked line and attach using two 2-1/2" (6.4 cm) wood screws (not provided) .
