The association collected its latest donation to the help centre during this year’s annual Santa Claus Parade in Rockland.

Conrad Montcalm, Rockland Help Centre director, accepted a $1200 cheque from Jean-Luc and Louise Martin, co-organizers and founders of the Rockland Cruise Nights summer evening event at the Rockland Plaza. The local classic car event raises money every year the help centre’s food bank program.

The $100 ticket resulted in phone call that he won an Infiniti JX-35 car, worth more than $50,000 in the Nov. 7 draw. He took the cash payout of $41,757 instead. Cancer Society official Jean Ouellette congratulated Fournier on his win.
