Order rising and managing operational budgets. • Producing complex monthly technical reports • Monthly budget forecasting. • Significant knowledge on H&S and operational building maintenance • Development of processes, systems and procedures to enable safer and more cost-effective building maintenance. • Manage disseminated budgets and deal with operational finance challenges • Manages and delivers operational Estates and minor projects Autonomy • Specialist knowledge in either electrical or mechanical building services. • Provides Estates technical information to the Estates manager and Head of Estates • Directing and mentoring operational engineering staff • Direct Line manager (if maintenance function returns inhouse) Decision Making: Typical decisions required of post holder • Making complex operational technical decisions • Operational budget decisions Typical decisions requiring approval by line manager/others • Escalates large and unexpected engineering issues affecting business, e.g. failure of site infrastructure • Escalates budget spends outside of designated responsibilities Communication and Relationships: Internally Estates Manager and Senior Facilities managers, Estates budget holders, Key onsite stake holders, Capital development, Departmental heads, Finance key reps, administration staff. Externally Key suppliers, FM contractor, utility providers, Hard FM contractors, external auditors, council departments, tenants, valuers
