Named as Executive Director of Kappa Alpha Psi ® (2018-present) - Participates with the Grand Board in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the fraternity - Identifies, assesses, and informs the GrandBoard of internal and external issues that affect the fraternity - Acts as a professional advisor to the Grand Board on all aspects of the fraternity’s activities - Acts as a spokesperson for the fraternity - Conducts official correspondence on behalf of the Grand Board as appropriate and jointly with the Grand Board of Directors when appropriate - Represents the fraternity at community activities to enhance the fraternity’s community profile - Develops an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the fraternity - Ensures that the operation of the fraternity meets the expectations of its clients, Board and Funders - Oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the fraternity - Drafts policies for the approval of the Grand Board and prepare procedures to implement the organizational policies; review existing policies on an annual basis and recommend changes to the Grand Board as appropriate - Ensures that personnel, client, donor and volunteer files are securely stored and privacy/ confidentiality is maintained - Provides support to the Grand Board by preparing meeting agenda and supporting materials - Oversees the planning, implementation and evaluation of the fraternity’s programs and services, i.e. Grand Chapter Meetings, Grand Board Retreats, National Founder’s Day, ULI, etc. - Monitors the day-to-day delivery of the programs and services of the fraternity to maintain or improve quality - Oversees the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job description for all staff - Ensures that all staff receives an orientation to the fraternity and appropriate training - Implements a performance management process for all staff which includes monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review - Works with staff and the Grand Board (Finance Committee) to prepare a comprehensive budget - Researches funding sources, oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of the fraternity - Approves expenditures within the authority delegated by the Grand Board - Ensures that sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures are followed - Administers the funds of the fraternity according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of the fraternity - Provides theGrandBoardwithcomprehensive, regular reportsontherevenuesandexpenditureof the fraternity - Ensures that the fraternity complies with all legislation covering taxation and withholding payments - Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of the fraternity and to identify changes in the community served by the fraternity - Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the fraternity
