Continued from page 28 nation is the main tenet: not only is earth filled with reincarnated space people but also space is filled with reincarnated human beings, Non sense? Recently we learned of a sup posedly reliable Bible teacher who had gone all out for UFOs with the consequence that his influence is fad ing fast. How easily men will believe lies! Are we nearing the end of this age? “ Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!” "THE REFINER'S FIRE" He sat by a furnace of sevenfold heat, As He watched by the precious ore; And closer He bent with a searching gaze, As He heated it more and more. He knew He had ore that could stand the test, And He wanted the finest gold To mould as a crown for the King to wear, Set with gems of a price untold. So He laid our gold in the burning fire, Though we fain would say to Him “ Nay” ; And He watched the dross, which we had not seen, As it melted and passed away. And the gold grew brighter, and yet more brighter,— But our eyes were so dim with tears; We saw but the fire— not the Master’s Hand,— And so questioned with anxious fears. Yet our gold shone out with a richer glow, As it mirrored a Form above That bent o’er the fire, though unseen by us, With a look of ineffable love. Can we think it pleases His loving heart E’er to cause us a moment’s pain? Ah no! But He sees through the present cross All the bliss of eternal gain. So He waited there with a watchful eye, With a love that is strong and sure; And His gold did not suffer a bit more heat Than we needed, to make it pure. NOTE— “ The refiner sits before the cru cible, fixing his eyes on the metal, taking care that the heat is not too great, and keeping the metal in, only until by seeing his own image re flected in the glowing mass, he knows that the dross is completely con sumed.”— Bible Dictionary.
