NQ Celtic Pathway into Football Coaching will give you the skills, expertise and relevant vocational qualifications to work within the football industry. It aims to develop a pathway/ certification for football coaches, leading to possible employment with Celtic Football Club. It will also provide you with the knowledge and skills required for progression to HNC Football Coaching and Developing Sport, HND Coaching and Developing Sport and HND Fitness, Health and Exercise. You will gain National Governing Body Awards with the SFA in 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 Coaching Children Pathway, and also 1.2 Goalkeeping Certificate. Aspects of the game such as talent identification and scouting, introduction to analysing football performance and introduction of support mechanisms will also be covered. You will receive weekly coaching sessions from Celtic Soccer Academy coaches. You must be physically fit to undertake the practical elements of this course. A PVG will be required to undertake any coaching placements/work experience which may be included in the course.
