Cadets honoured for excellence

telmi Memorial Award for the True Spirit of Air Cadets goes to Cpl. Travis Lamure, as the cadet who best typifies and exhibits the qualities of an Air Cadet programmember. The Commanding Officer’s Trophy for passion and enthusiasm as a cadet goes to WO2 Madison Albert. The Royal Canadian

Legion Medal of Excellence for citizenship and community support went to WO2 Mi- chael Csontos. The Strathcona Foundation Medal, the highest honour for a cadet, rec- ognizing physical and intellectual fitness, self-discipline, citizenship, and patriotism, goes to WO1 Simon Henrie.

The Olive Warren Memorial Trophy for Best Flight Corporal is for a third-year ca- det who surpasses the corps standard and exhibits dedication and enthusiasm in all activities.This year’s recipient is FCpl. Alysha Desrochers. The E.S. “Ted” Russell Memorial Trophy for Best Sergeant goes to a fourth-year cadet displaying above-the-standard behaviour as well as dedication and enthusiasm in all activities. This year the trophy goes to Sgt. Patritzia Fevry. The Lt. Fraser Memorial Trophy for Top Instructor went to Sgt. Isaiah Morrow for his dedication in teaching cadets during their exercises. The 410 Wing President’s Trophy for the non-commissioned officer who best displays ability among peers for performance, improvement and fulfillment of the responsibilities of rank goes to FSgt. Hani Reynolds. The Sammy Sayle Memorial Trophy for Top Band Member went to FCpl. Hannah Draganovic. Sgt. Jean-Simon Brassard re- ceived the Effective Speaking Trophy. The top three shooters nominated for the J.P. Lindauer Marksmanship Trophy this year are: Cpl. Travis Lamure, Cpl. Chloé Chénier, and FCpl. Alysha Desrochers.The John An-

The end of spring and the fast-approaching arrival of summer means award ceremo- nies at local schools and among various community groups. The 832 Twillick Clarence-Rockland Air Cadet Squadron presented its end-of-season awards during its recent annual inspection review. This year’s recipients of the Duke of Ed- inburgh’s Award: Young Canadians Chal- lenge (Bronze Level) are FCpl. Alysha Des- rochers, Cpl. Chloé Chénier, FCpl. Emma McLaughlin, Sgt. Joshua Cooper, Cpl. Sé- bastien Gravelle, and Cpl. Thomas Rozon. The award honours youth for community service, planning and participation in an expedition, skill development, and physical fitness commitment. The Vern Allison Trophy for Top First Year Cadet went to Leading Air Cadet Ja- cob Campbell, in recognition of his dedi- cation and enthusiasm during his first year in cadets. The Sponsoring Trophy for Top Corporal belongs to Cpl. Kayla Allaire for her dedication and spirit and well-rounded demonstration of cadet skills through her training year.
