Public Works Week stands as a beacon, illuminating the vi- tal role of infrastructure in our daily lives. It sheds light on the tireless efforts behind the scenes, from ensur- ing clean water to facilitating safe transportation routes. Infrastructure Upgrades: The team’s active involvement in up- grading roads, bridges, and public buildings has bolstered the city’s safety and accessibility, improving transportation networks. Green Initiatives: Spearheading environmentally sustainable prac- tices, they’ve installed energy-efficient lighting, implemented wa - ter conservation measures, and championed recycling initiatives. San Bernardino’s Public Works team epitomizes dedication, expertise, and collaboration, shaping a sustainable and resilient future. WE’RE SAYING THANK YOU! The Lunar New Year event held in Court Street Square Park on Feb 17, 2024, was a vibrant and culturally rich celebration sponsored by Pac Genomics, Amazon, Dao Realty, TransTech, Ryvid, Exp Real- ty, and the Ohlone Tribe. The park was transformed into a colorful gathering space adorned with red lanterns, yellow and red flowers, and multiple photo areas for guests to enjoy. Educational banners showcased various components of Lunar New Year traditions, while the main stage displayed the zodiac animals and lucky mai trees symbolizing happiness, health, and prosperity. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in Lunar New Year crafts, experience traditional Chinese calligraphy demonstrations and lessons by the CSUSB Chinese Student Association, and im - merse themselves in traditional music and imagery. Overall, the Lunar New Year event exemplified the City of San Bernardino’s dedication to celebrating its diverse cultural makeup, fostering respect, and promoting understanding across cultures.
