Rockland Library hosts Digital Bookmobile

The Clarence-Rockland Public Library is on its way to the future!The Overdrive Digital Bookmobile National Tour will be paying a visit to the Rockland branch on Friday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will al- low readers to explore a range of eBooks and audiobooks available to them at the library and online. The Digital Bookmobile National Tour travels coast to coast in a massive motor home fully equipped with computers, sound systems and portable media players. The tour will allow visitors to speak to eReading experts and to explore the unique ways in which they can find their favourite reading material. Technical staff will also be on site to provide one-on-one tutorials on how to digitally borrow books. Readers of all ages can take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to access digital books on different platforms, such as phones and tablets.They can also borrow eBooks and audiobooks for free, anytime, through the library’s website. Audiobooks and eBooks expire once the lending period is over, ensuring no late fees. The tour is at the Rockland branch library, free and open to the entire community. Al- though the Digital Bookmobile National Tour offers its services in English, bilingual library staff will be able to assist all library members. Les gens sont reconnaissants de votre engagement. » Plusieurs membres stagiaires de la force volontaire des pompiers du Service des in- cendies de Clarence-Rockland (SICR)ont reçu leurs casques jaunes au cours de la cérémonie, marquant ainsi la fin de leur pro- bation et leur adhésion à titre de pompiers volontaires. La tournée nationale de Digital Bookmobile visitera la bibliothèque publique de Clarence-Rockland, le vendredi 21 juillet, de 10 h à 14 h.
