Improvement • Develop, implement and oversee a policy framework for service improvement across the Trust and across partner Trusts within KHP, the ICS and beyond. • Lead the development and implementation of an efficient data-driven service improvement culture, leading by professional example and continually encouraging all members of the multidisciplinary team and all levels of staff to identify improvements to safety, quality and efficiency in support of high quality of patient care. This will involve challenging the status quo, where significant barriers to understanding and acceptance exist. • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of data-driven service improvement initiatives Trust-wide across Essentia, including across partner Trusts within KHP, the ICS and beyond. • Provide effective and expert advice to lead the development and embedding of a culture in which learning and development is encouraged at all levels and in all staff groups. • Support the Programme Office Director in embedding a rigorous approach to benefits realisation. • Using professional, specialist expertise, actively identify, explore and promote external sources of innovation and best practice in a way that engages Essentia staff. • Regularly undertake and manage research activity including complex surveys and audits in relation to service improvement across a range of services and functions. Report on the research outputs to the Board within GSTT and partner Trusts. Financial Management • Responsible for financial management of several services including Investment and Resources, Future of FM, Workforce and the Essentia Academy, Performance Monitoring and Procurement. • Ensure that financial reporting is carried out in accordance with Trust policies, procedures and standards, working closely with the Trust finance team to maintain accurate real time financial analysis. • Ensure that services are delivered so as to achieve value for money and meet all financial targets, communicating highly complex, difficult and sensitive messages where barriers to acceptance exist. • Ensure all staff comply with the Trust’s financial standing orders and financial procedures, and work to the highest standards of probity, integrity and good practice.
