may take away from something that I need to be getting done.” She is also an advocate of Google Calendar and planning, ensuring that everything from homework to practice and rest is scheduled ahead of each week. When things start to feel unmanageable, she asks herself: How can I make my life easier for my future self? Whatever the answer is becomes the next step Tatiana takes. Being an athlete for most of her life has taught Tatiana several valuable lessons, from perseverance to patience and time management. Above all, it has given her a deeper understanding of and appreciation for taking care of her body, starting with getting enough sleep. “Sleep and health are so important in college and in sports,” she says. “I invest in self-care treatments and fuel my body well. And above all else, I try to get enough sleep so I can fire on all cylinders.” Following college, Tatiana intends to pursue real estate private equity or luxury real estate. And although she’ll eventually hang up her track and field uniform, she plans to continue living an active lifestyle. “I know I’ll be an active gym-goer after college,” she says. “I’ll probably do long-distance runs as well as Pilates. I love swimming and skiing, too, so I know I’ll keep up with those recreationally.”
