Woman of Impact Winner Lexie Harper Harrison (Iota Omega-Ole Miss) was selected as a Woman of Impact nominee by the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Mississippi Chapter, an honor that charged her with leading a nine- week fundraising initiative to support women’s heart health research and awareness. From February 6 to April 9, Lexie led fundraising efforts across the state, channeling her passion and purpose into the campaign. Through her dedication and leadership, she ultimately earned the distinguished title of Woman of Impact for Mississippi. When her name was announced, she could hardly believe it.

“I just kept saying, ‘Are you kidding me?’” she recalls. “I’m still in complete shock, but I’m beyond grateful. Raising money and awareness for women’s heart health across my state has meant so much to me and getting to do it alongside the incredible women of the AHA Mississippi Chapter has made it even more special.” The AHA’s mission is deeply personal for Lexie. In 2016, her grandfather, a cornerstone of her family, passed away from heart disease after a lifelong battle with hearth health. His loss ignited a passion in Lexie to make a difference, inspiring her to get involved and advocate for heart health. In college, Lexie joined Alpha Phi because of the Fraternity’s philanthropic focus, which closely aligned with her own values. “Alpha Phi taught me that heart disease is the number one killer of women, which shocked me,” she shares. “I don’t think many people know this, and it's what motivated me to get involved with Alpha Phi and support the AHA in any way I could, so more women are informed and can take early, preventative action.” While the award is a meaningful honor, it’s not what drives Lexie. For her, it’s about making a lasting impact by raising awareness, supporting critical research and ensuring communities across Mississippi have access to education and resources surrounding heart health.

So, what’s next for Lexie? Continuing to raise funds, share her story and advocate for a cause that means so much to her.

Major Career Wins Arizona-born and -raised Courtney Palomo Weston (Iota Pi-Northern Arizona) loves everything about the Valley of the Sun: the cotton-candy sunsets, the mesmerizing mountains and the booming local makers’ scene. It’s an idyllic place to live (just ask her). After graduating from Northern Arizona University, Courtney traveled across North America as an educational leadership consultant for the Fraternity. The experience was invaluable for someone just starting out in the workforce, equipping her with skills and a network that would shape her career. It also confirmed what she already suspected: Arizona was where she was meant to build a life of her own. Courtney married her middle school sweetheart, and in February 2025, they welcomed their daughter, Kinsley. She’s a realtor and investor who’s worked in the real estate industry since 2015. Over the years, she’s grown from a realtor assistant to a licensed realtor, helping buyers and sellers navigate some of life’s biggest transactions with ease and confidence. “I became an agent because no one should feel lost making such a big decision, and because the right guidance can truly change everything,” Courtney shares.

She has become that guidance for so many locals and transplants in Arizona. In recognition of her work, Courtney was named one of the Top 30 Realtors Under 30 by the National Association of Realtors. Her steadfast commitment to helping people feel at home in Arizona, coupled with her strong results, set her apart from more than 300 applicants nationwide. “I had my team on Zoom with me as I checked the results — I couldn’t face it alone,” she laughs. “I’m glad they were there, along with my daughter on my lap, when I got the exciting news.”
