CREW LEHIGH VALLEY PA

GROUP EARNS REPUTATION AS PREMIER COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE NETWORK IN NORTHEAST PA COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE WOMEN OF LEHIGH VALLEY PA (CREW LV PA) is the local chapter of a professional organiza- tion with 9,000 members involved in every discipline within the industry in more than 75 major markets across North America. We are proud to observe our 10th anniversary in May with a festive celebration at Miller Symphony Hall’s Rodale Room. The organization came to the Lehigh Valley in 2004, when a handful of women in real estate met with CREW Network leadership to explore the feasibility of a local chapter. Nine women enthusiastically agreed the region would benefit from this unique organization. In August, each wrote a personal check to fund the Lehigh Valley chapter and pay national dues. They began planning a wine and cheese reception to introduce the concept to the broader community. An “equal opportunity organization” that welcomes men and women, CREW LV PA is a 501(c)6 nonprofit run by a board of directors and a committee system, all on a volunteer basis. Representing all aspects of the real estate industry, members network, develop relationships and find ample opportunities to develop deals. CREW LV PA has earned a reputation as THE

premier commercial real estate network in northeast Pennsylva- nia, recognized for professionalism, leadership and expertise. The first members worked hard to develop member- attracting programming; strong programming continues to be a hallmark of CREW LV PA. Highlights include pre-opening hard-hat tours of St. Luke’s Riverside, Bethlehem’s Riverport, Bennett-Toyota (the region’s first “green” car dealership) and the Crayola Factory. Other programs were an early explora- tion of the concept of ArtsQuest, followed eight years later by a tour of the completed building; the impact of Bethlehem’s Historic District designation on the real estate market; the town-and-gown relationship between Lafayette College and the City of Easton; and a tour of the state-of-the art campus of SEI Investments Co. in Oaks. CREW’s Community Service committee offers mem- bers the opportunity to support worthy causes while further developing professional networks. CREW members volunteer monthly at the Sixth Street Shelter, organizes Second Harvest food drives, and arranges holiday Secret Santa gifts for clients of Turning Point and the Children’s Home of Easton. CREW Network was founded on the principle: “Influ- encing the success of the commercial real estate industry by advancing the achievements of women.” CREW Lehigh Valley is dedicated to continuing this principle within our chapter and in the industry.
