fantastic results have been achieved in the mighty Worcester Federation. the partnership hold the Worcester Federation record when they took the top 14 positions from Kingsdown which is 133 miles to the lads and only sending 19 babies. Regards feeding, the young birds are fed a high protein mix with carbs added midweek with a bit of fats mix added on a Thursday and Friday. We only use Beyers mixes from the Olympia range. The birds are only given multivitamins in the water on a Wednesday with elec- trolytes on the return from the race. The birds are on a routine treatment every three weeks when racing for Cocci, Canker and Respiratory but once racing is over no treatments are given. We have tried many methods with babies which all work well but we prefer

address to Adam’s in 2019 and in 2019 and 2020 only young birds were raced, only a couple of races were sent to 2021-2022 as Adam has a young family

to race the babies split. Training is done three weeks before the first race then after the first race only once or twice a week from 20 miles. Only 40-50 babies are raced each year. Old birds are raced on standard Widowhood with between 8-16 cocks and same with hens being raced. the race birds paired over the Chrismas period and they rear one round of babies then split. Training starts two weeks before racing being trained back to their hens. On race night the cocks run with the hens for 5-10 minutes then basketed for the race. The birds are treated for Cocci, Canker and Respiratory every three weeks while racing then nothing else throughout the off season. Beyers Widowhood mixes are use, also a bag of fats High Energy mix. Topping the Worcester Fed in a north west wind and a north east wind, also 1st Blackheath 220 birds, 1st Blackheath 282 birds, 1st Super Clbu 91 birds, 1st East Section 1,070 birds, 1st East Section 982 birds, 1st Worcester Fed 2,313 birds, 1st Worcester Fed 2,321 birds.
