SCARBOROUGH SOCIAL CLUB
Scarborough Social Club held their annual presentation ror 2023 at the Newlands Hotel. The members would like to start off by thanking the clubs hosts Joanne & Joe Hakings of the Newlands Hotel for providing the club with their excellent headquarter which is much appreciated. The prize presentation and AGM took place together. The prize presentation is based on a nominated points system and top prize winner was Neil Roger having had an excellent season with 68 old bird points and 104 young bird points with a total of 172 points also winning the Combine Points John Allen trophy, winning 5x1sts,
3x2nds, 4x3rds, 5x4ths, 3x5ths and 2x6ths. Joint 2nd was Andy Moon with 46 old bird points and highest 120 young bird points with a total of 166 points and winnning 7x1st, 6x2nds, 6x3rds, 1x4th, 4x5ths and 5x6ths. Joint 2nd was Walt Agar with 56 old bird points and 110 young bird points and winning 5x2nds, 1x3rd, 7x4th, 5x5ths and 4x6ths with a total of 166 points. Fourth place went to Paddy Johnson with 120 old bird points having 4x1sts, 2x2nds, 3x3rds, 3x4ths, 4x5ths and 1x6th and 28 young birds points with a total of 148 points. Fifth place went to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge with 104 old bird points in total winning 4x1sts, 2x2nds, 3x3rds, 4x4ths,
5x5ths and 3x6ths. Sixth place went to Daniel Varlam with 84 old bird points and 12 young birds point with a total of 96 points winning 1x3rd, 1x4th, 1x5th and 1x6th. Seventh place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite with 24 old bird points and 22 young bird points winning a total of 46 points and winning 1x3rd, 2x4ths and 1x5th. Eighth place went to Nigel & Justin Trotter with 32 old bird points winning a total of 32 points and winning 1x3rd. Nineth place went to Dave Pickering with 16 old bird points and 6 young bird points winning a total of 22 points and winning 2x2nds, 3x3rds, 1x4ths and 1x6th.
