Clifton Diocese - Schools and Buildings Surveyor (Part Time)

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about the appointment of Schools and Buildings Surveyor with the Clifton Diocese. As part of an established Property Services team, the Schools and Buildings Surveyor is appointed as the lead Surveyor to schools. The Surveyor will work with schools on the bidding process for grant funding and advise on the appropriate distribution of funds to school projects. You will also undertake any other surveying work at school sites including boundary issues, rights of way, 3rd party use. The Surveyor will also work with the schools in order to facilitate the Diocesan Academisation Strategy. Additional work will also be undertaken on the property portfolio which consists of mainly churches, church halls and Presbyteries. This type of work will vary from condition surveys, refurbishment projects and scoping/overseeing of repairs. The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in a building or estates surveying role with responsibility for the maintenance, repair and improvement schemes ideally within the education sector. You will have strong commercial and technical skills, and contract management together with a comprehensive technical understanding of buildings, their services and lifecycle planning. The post is offered on a part time basis (3 days per week) on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract.
