little boys live, God blessed them for doing it. Then th e king gave all his people perm ission to tak e th e little iboy babies of th e Israelites and throw them in th e R iver Nile, to drown them. In one of the homes a beautiful little boy was born, and th e mother hid him fo r th ree months. Ju st th ink of hav ing a darling baby in your home, and you not daring let anybody know abou t it, and every tim e it cried, they would be afraid some Egyptian would h ear and tak e it away to th e river. Now th e m other knew she could hide him no longer, so she made a little a rk or boat o u t of th e ta ll weeds th a t grew by th e river, and daubed it over w ith pitch to keep out th e w ater. Then she put th e baby into th e a rk and laid it care fully among the bushes a t the edge of th e river. But th e little boy’s sister watched, no t far off. Then some one else loved th is dear little baby and was watching too. Yes, God was watching, and he did not let any of th e big croco diles come near the baby, and th ere were lots of them in the river. Are we th e kind of boys and girls th a t are serving Jesus now, getting ready to do whatever He may ask us to do later on? When Moses grew to be a man, he knew he was not th e son of P h a r aoh’s daughter but was one of th e chil dren of Israel; and although he m ignt have been very rich and g reat if he had stayed w ith her, he chose rath e r to go and live w ith his own people. Moses always remembered w hat his m other ta u g h t him in early years, and now he tru sted in God at all times. T h at is our memory verse. Let us say it together. “T ru st in H im (God) at all tim es.” As God cared for Baby Moses, so he cares for you. Do you love and serve God, who so cares for you? Closing P ray er.—Dear Lord Jesus, we th a n k thee for loving us, and help us to love and serve thee every day.
