Brownsville. BackToActionPhysicalTherapy joined the community of Brownsville on October 14th, to support the Tip of Texas FamilyOutreachCenterduring the5KZombie Run And Monster Mile event. Theparticipantsalsogot thechance toenter theHauntedHouseafter the run. Itwassuch a fun event for theentire family.All proceeds from this event benefits the Child Abuse Prevention Programs of the center. Eagle Pass. October was Physical Therapy Monthandourveryown,PTDoreen’sbirthday! We celebrated by maintaining a continued presence inourcommunityandeducatingour citizens of the vast benefits physical therapy can provide to their mobility, health, and quality of life. We participated in this year’s EaglePassBusinessExpowhereover60 local businesses, organizations, and non-profits came together to provide the community informationandproductsfound locally. Itwas ahugesuccess.WealsowereGoldSponsors for the Candles for Life Walk-a-thon Festival. Allproceedsgo towardsfinancialassistance forcancerpatientsandsurvivorsofMaverick County. We enjoy being active members of thecommunityandhope to inspireapositive change. Stay tuned to see what we have in store for the next couple of months before wrapping up the year! Harlingen. Back To Action Physical Therapy inHarlingen,donated$200 to theLyfordLady Bulldogbasketball team.Thiswillhelp topay for their tournament costs. On October 26th, we volunteered at St. Anthony’sSchool tohelp theirstudentcouncil raise money for a digital marquee and other equipment needed during the school year. side and decorated their vehicles. We played games and handed out candy to hundreds of children dressed up in their Halloween costumes. They also had Chalupa for the adults where they had chances to win door prizes. The event was a huge success and we were pleased to help out. We met a lot of great people. A special thanks to Monica Weaver and Maggie Juarez for allowing us to volunteer. On October 27th, Back To Action donated cakes and pies for a cake walk for their Fall Festival.This was for the Mid Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. Del Rio. October was National Physical TherapyMonth!Thegoalsofphysical therapy are to restore function, decrease pain, and improve strength and motion so you can get back to living life to the fullest!Wearehere to help! Del Rio participated in the annual Pasta for Paws event this month by attending and donating a “Puppy Starter Kit” for the silent auction.The event is a fundraiser benefitting A Pet’s Wish, the local volunteer run pet rescue. We also welcomed Jessica to our BTA family this month as a new Patient Care Coordinator! Devesh Digwal, PT spent a week in Florida this month taking his FCE Certification Course and got to visit Disney World for the first time! Staff showed some Halloween spirit and dressed up as 80’s fitness instructors for the day! We enjoyed all the laughs and smiles from our patients!
