Founded by Susan Hough, a veteran of the construction industry with over two decades of experience, Moody Moon Ridge was born out of a desire to create something truly unique. "Covid was the catalyst that made me realize the new community I wanted to develop was primarily a neighborhood which would bring people together," Susan recalls. "I wanted to create a sense of community and a sense of having fun together while enjoying nature." A Dream in the Making Susan’s journey in construction began in the bustling city of Chicago, where she honed her skills in remodeling and large- scale building projects. However, her heart always gravitated toward East Tennessee. "I've always felt a strong connection there and knew it was one of the most beautiful places in America," she says. "When I found 118 acres of pristine mountain land on English Mountain, I knew it was meant to be." That land would become the foundation for Moody Moon Ridge, a development designed to balance privacy and community, offering breathtaking views and a serene, nature-focused lifestyle.
