As a woman in a traditionally male- dominated field, Susan has developed a unique leadership style. "My relationship with my crews is based on mutual respect," she explains. "An authoritarian structure doesn’t work for me—I have to be a little bit kinder. It’s about working with people who take pride in their work."
To ensure quality, Susan and her project manager conduct weekly inspections, maintaining high standards across every build. "We use CoConstruct, a project management software system, to keep everything on track and make sure all the trades are aligned," she says.
