had not followed the rules, and how he worked on their behalf to hold those people accountable. What I have always admired most about my grandfather and father is their strong adherence to their principles, accountability, truth, and fairness. Their work ethic and commitment to justice inspired me to pursue a career through which I, too, could make a difference in people’s lives. When it came time for me to think about what I wanted to do for a living, the choice was clear. I felt a strong sense of obligation and duty to join my grandfather and my parents in their noble profession. To me, there is nothing more honorable or worthwhile. Today, having become a lawyer myself, I stand on the shoulders of giants. It is with great pride that I am able to carry on the legacy of helping others through the practice of law. Joining my father and mother at their personal injury practice is truly a dream come true, and I know that my grandfather would have been so proud. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from and work with my parents and their dedicated, hard- working team in seeking justice on behalf of victims of personal injuries.

I have been preparing my entire life to become a lawyer. Practicing law is something I have always felt like I was destined to do. This feeling likely comes from having had the great privilege of growing up in a family of truly brilliant legal minds. My grandfather, John J. Rinehardt, loved being a lawyer. Some of my earliest memories are of going with my father to visit my Grandpa John at his law office in downtown Mansfield. “Come here, Peanut,” he’d say, and I’d climb into his lap as he sat at his desk. Documents would be scattered about his desktop, along with books propped open, bookmarked, and highlighted. My father would sit in a chair opposite my grandfather, surrounded by stacks of files and boxes piled high around the room. The two of them would discuss their respective cases, and I would sit and listen to their stories, trying to absorb every detail. It was obvious to me, even then as a little girl, that my Grandpa John loved being a lawyer because helping people, above all, was his greatest passion in life.

he got justice for his clients. Anytime I met someone who knew my Grandpa John, they would always tell me how my grandfather worked tirelessly on their behalf, how much he meant to them, and how thankful they were to have had him on their side. To this day, I continue to meet Grandpa John’s former clients, who remember him as their saving grace. Like my grandfather, my own father has dedicated his life and career to championing the underdogs, to doing what is right, and to giving a voice to the voiceless. It was from my father that I learned what makes a great lawyer: It’s not being someone who likes to argue, as the cliché goes, but rather being a thoughtful, empathetic, and compassionate listener. To be a lawyer, my father taught me, is to be a storyteller. Sitting around the family dinner table, my father would tell us his clients’ stories, how they were hurt because someone

immensely respect his dedication to his profession. He was the fiercest and most determined advocate. Grandpa John only represented those with causes he truly believed in, and he did not rest until

TOP 2020 TRENDS STRUTT SABBATICAL COSTUME CONTEST for Making ‘Home Sweet Home’ Even Cozier

Due to COVID-19, the Humane Society of Richland County took a sabbatical from hosting its annual Strutt Your Mutt event, which is usually its biggest fundraiser of the year. Instead, the Humane Society hosted a virtual Halloween costume contest on Facebook. For every entry that tagged Rinehardt Law (@besmartlegal), we donated $10 to the Humane Society. We also donated a $150 Amazon gift card to give to the winner of the contest, who was determined by the photo that got the most likes/loves. There were so many adorable entries!

Comfort food isn’t the only comforting thing trending this year. With everyone spending more time at home, many have found creative ways of making their home cozier, too. Pair your Thanksgiving comfort meal with these easy, rewarding home upgrades and make you and your family happier and more comfy this fall! Create a colorful, Instagram- worthy kitchen.

Don’t you love the sleek, beautiful kitchens on cooking shows? What’s so special about them? It’s not just the matching towels or their shiny new pots and pans. There’s simply no clutter. All tools and ingredients are found in well-organized, easy-to-navigate glass or ceramic containers. There’s plenty of natural and warm, bright lighting.

To make your kitchen more inviting, add mirrors to the walls to expand your natural light; it won’t cost too much. If you want a bigger project and want to follow a popular 2020 trend, shy away from all-white kitchens and paint the cabinets a bold color. You can go big or do just a few things to modify your kitchen to look more chic than ever! Also, in one study, Cornell University’s Food and Brand Lab found that participants snacked on double the calories when standing in a messy kitchen compared to a clean one. Not only is making the kitchen ready for a cooking show easier than you think, but it’s healthier, too. Add more leafy plants.

PUTTING TURKEYS

Our Fourth Annual ThanksGIVEaway will be held on Nov. 20, 2020 from 3:30–5:30 p.m. at our Mansfield office. As in previous years, we will be donating turkeys to families in the community who are facing adversity or hardship. There is a tab on the home screen of our website where you can sign up on a first come, first served basis. Thanksgiving is a time to gather around the table, share a special meal, and give thanks. The team at Rinehardt Law wants every family in our community to have the opportunity to enjoy the holiday without financial stress. This year, more than ever, we feel blessed to be able to help the community at this family-focused time of year. If you would like more information about the event, please contact Hillary Rinehardt at hillary@ lawfirm2020.com or 419-LAW-2020. You can also visit RinehardtLawFirm.com and click the “Thanksgiving Giveaway” tab on our homepage.

You can feel like you’re someplace far, far away — yet, still at home — if you’re surrounded by lush, leafy green plants. Not only does the color brighten the space, but plants provide an additional sense of warmth and comfort to any room. Kitchen plants, like herbs, can serve a dual-purpose: color and flavor!

Consider classic blue. An inviting color can have the same comforting effect on your mood as a warm blanket can have on your body. This might be why the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year is classic blue — “a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk.” After this crazy year, a calming, deep, sophisticated blue is perfect for our homes. Pick up a dark blue blanket as a practical accent piece, or add a fresh coat of paint to any space or furniture item. A lovely shade of blue can instantly make your space look more peaceful, especially with a beautiful contrasting white accent or trim. We hope these ideas help inspire you to make home a little more comfortable this year. Happy decorating!

Top 5 Healthy Life Hacks to Have an Awesome Morning

Top 5 Healthy Life Hacks

TO HAVE AN AWESOME MORNING Getting your day started with coffee isn’t always enough. Sometimes, you need to give yourself an extra boost, especially when you have little energy or trouble focusing. For an awesome start to your day, here are five tips to get you going right off the bat. Wake up 5 minutes early. What’s the power of five minutes? It can be more than you think. Spend this time doing simple breathing exercises or a quick meditation so you can get focused for the rest of the day. If that’s not your style, you can prepare a quick to-do list for your day ahead. down if you don’t have to! Not only will morning walks help you wake up, but they can also add some extra physical activity to your day. Write in your journal.

Who says you have to journal at the end of the day when you’re tired and ready to sleep? You can journal in the morning about what happened yesterday and the things you’re looking forward to that day. Journaling can remind you of your daily goals and motivate you to stick to your commitments. Pack your lunch (or snacks!). Staying on track with your goals starts with having the energy to do them. Plan a healthy balance of fats, vegetables, carbohydrates, and proteins. This can be as simple as assembling dips, carrots, wraps, and salads each morning. It’s time to try these tactics to jump-start your day!

Either way, it’s always nice to have a little extra time for yourself without losing too much sleep. Start with green tea, then coffee. A cup of coffee at 7 a.m. can leave you burned out by 10 a.m. Try swapping it with green tea for a more gentle wake-up call. After that, you can brew your favorite coffee to keep you going strong. This practice also might help you consume less caffeine overall! Take a quick morning walk — and have your meetings on the go. Morning meetings can make us want to fall asleep again. Don’t spend all of them sitting
