This issue o f TH E KING ’ S BUSINESS goes to press about four weeks late, due to lack o f funds. This is the first time this has occurred in more than a quarter o f a century that the magazine has been published. During this time, nearly four million copies have been circulated. THE KING ’S BUSINESS has never been a self-supporting publication. The idea o f its founders was that o f a ministry to Christian workers, thus aiding to spread the glorious gospel. T o continue this ministry has necessitated unusual sacrifice on the part o f the Bible Institute o f Los Angeles. This same spirit has inspired many earnest Christians to send the magazine to missionaries, Christian workers, “ shut-ins,” and isolated homes. This gives it a unique and unusual subscription T o continue this ministry unhindered means that the incom e for THE KING ’ S BUSINESS needs to be materially increased. Some means must be found to relieve the meager incom e o f the Institute o f this addi- tional burden o f a constant deficit in the publishing o f THE KING ’ S list o f 25,000. W e believe that many thousands o f friends o f the Institute are unaware o f this need. It is to this group that this appeal is addressed. W ill you w ho believe in this ministry o f THE KING ’ S BUSINESS help lift this burden from the Institute by your CON STAN T P R A Y E R and by an A D E Q U A T E G IFT to this end? Approximately fifty cents per subscriber w ou ld solve the financial problem o f THE KING ’ S BUSINESS. Many cannot even do this, and consequently others BUSINESS.
