What I did: I worked as a Democracy Fellow for the Campus Vote Project in order to increase civic engagement and voter turnout rates on the UW-Stevens Point campus. This position involved creating events, doing community outreach, working with upper administration, and marketing to students in order to assess barriers to civic engagement/voting and eliminate them. What I liked: I really enjoyed the social/connecting aspect to my internship. I enjoyed getting to work in a small team of interns, as we were able to bounce ideas off each other and work together. I also liked to talk to and meet new people on campus, as we try to make business connections in order to do our work on campus.
What I did: I developed a process to update current job descriptions and update job descriptions based on competencies. What I liked: I liked having a better understanding of how each position makes a contribution to the department and the entire organization.
Future Dream Job: My dream job is to work in the airline industry.
Future Dream Job: My dream job is a criminal defense attorney.
