Halloween in New York City is always a big deal, with pumpkin patches, costume events, spooky trails and neighborhood celebrations happening across the five boroughs. Here are some family favorites to have on your radar this October. Halloween on the Farm – Queens County Farm Museum Queens County Farm Museum is especially fun at Halloween, combining the atmosphere of a real working farm with plenty of seasonal fun. Their Halloween on the Farm celebration returns on October 31, 2026, with full details still to be announced. Make a day of it by visiting the pumpkin patch and exploring the farm while you’re there. Best for: Kids who want classic Halloween fun without leaving NYC. Randall’s Island Park Celebrate fall at Randall’s Island Park with a free family Harvest Festival on October 4. Halloween in the Neighborhood Some of NYC’s best Halloween fun happens much closer to home.
