Happy Feet! Speedy toes

KICK IT On Monday 23rd and Tuesday

24th January, pupils took part in our annual fundraiser - the ‘Soccer Star Challenge.’ All pupils participated from YN-Y6 and had a fantastic time cheering on their classmates and competing for the trophy for fastest shot! So far as a school we have raised £3815.25. This will be split 60% to Abbey and 40% will be re-invested to the fantastic community work carried out by Soccer Star Coaching. Well done everyone! Thanks to Miss Hinton for the story. EARLY POPPY APPEAL We are struggling for volunteers in your area and would be grateful if you would consider our request to become a volunteer to the local community. Overall £14,885.00 was raised in the Smethwick area, with only, four dedicated volunteers. The Legion uses the donations to support in so many ways, including providing crisis grants; offering the children of Armed Forces personnel adventure breaks; researching the impact of blast injuries on the body; lobbying the government on key issues, and advising on benefits and money problems.
