SLICE OF MAGIC

On Saturday 3rd September at Thimblemill Library, Will Simmons entered the Bearwood Bake Off 2016, organised by Khakan Qureshi. This was the third annual Bearwood Bake Off competition. Will chose to make a Victoria Sponge as his entry for the under 12 category. After several hours of taste testing, the three judges reached a decision and Will was delighted when his number was called out. So much so that he shouted out, "that's me". Will really enjoyed his first baking experience and is looking forward to the Bearwood Bake Off 2017! CRAFTY GOINGS ON The Crafty Muthas and The Bearwood Pantry are collaborating on a Food/Crafty Fair being held this Saturday. A number of Abbey children are having stalls and they would love to see you there. If you do drop in, say hello to Ava Bardsley, Tallulah Saunders, Scout Collins, Kitty Lydon and Cerys Capper-Grinham. The event is 11.00am – 4.00pm, Saturday 17 September at Bearwood Baptist Church, Bearwood Road. A whole day devoted to delicious food and beautiful crafts. A fantastic excuse to get together, eat, drink and celebrate all that is great in our wonderful community.
