PROFESSIONAL Last week, Jessica Shrewsbury performed as part of the children’s cast in the official professional touring version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. Jessica was excited to be chosen for the role, to sing and act, as part of a smaller group of children, from the theatre group she attends every week. Jessica has spent the last three months rehearsing for the show and practiced lots of Spanish in the songs she had to learn. Jessica said, ‘It was a brilliant experience to be on stage with lots of actors and singers and to do a whole week of performances!” 100 MILE CYCLE The charity event is the Birmingham Velo 100 mile cycle on 24th September. I am doing it in support of the Queen Elizabeth Cancer department; supporting patients and families. It is also in memory of my parents who both died in their early 50s of cancer. There will be 15,000 riders taking part and the event begins in Birmingham city centre, going through Worcestershire and Herefordshire. I understand that there are quite a few parents of Abbey kids who are taking part in the same event; I am keen to make contact with them to arrange some Bearwood training sessions. Here is the link for my just giving page; I have also attached a photo if that is easier. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ Julie-Oneill2
