FOLLOW THE BEAR Abbey is taking part in the ‘Big Sleuth’- an artistic fundraiser for Birmingham Children’s hospital charity. To most people, the word ‘sleuth’ means a private detective, but it’s also the collective noun for a group of bears! Bizarre, but true. These bears will form a trail right across our city and provide fun and inspiration for families over the summer. Follow http://thebigsleuth.co.uk/ for more information about finding our bear. The school council and our librarians wanted the finished bear to live as part of our library and its new design. Everyone in our school community drew their favourite book cover. A piece of every cover was used on the decoupage layer that is hidden under Lexi’s bright decoration. Our bear’s final coat includes opening lines from some of our favourite books See if you can find as many bears as you can before the end of the summer.
